August,6th Post-op Situation
As some of you may know I had a prostatectomy on Thursday morning. I'll spare you the gruesome details.
The surgery was successful and now the recovery begins. And it take will time. Remember I told you I got this!
Just like most of us, we have been faced some tremendous challenges in life. You might remember my son fell off a roof a couple of years back and broke his back. I told then and I'll tell you again, we are a strong family,
So much has been happening since I got out of the hospital yesterday. But wanted to share a small but integral part of my recovery. This morning, after she had emptied my catheter, changed my bandages, made breakfast and cleaned my room, she turned to me and said "Is there anything else I can do for you?" It made me cry all day and it hurts, a lot, when I cry! You know how after being in a long term commitment or marriage, you begin to wonder "Was I suppose to be in this for the the rest of my life with this person? Today that answer was a resounding YES! I love you Teresa! Thanks you so much!
Once I get better, we're going to grow old together!
This is all the energy I have for this today e just us give a little time? all of those phone calls are so kind and considerate and we appreciate them so much. I hope you can forgive me if I don't get back to you right away?
Thank you again everyone! I'll be back soon and wont even seem like I was gone!
